A 256-bit server seed is generated when the round opens. Only SHA-256(seed) is public.
2LOCK
Entries are converted to integer-cent tickets and frozen before selection.
3SELECT
HMAC-SHA256 combines the precommitted hidden seed, frozen ticket ledger and future drand beacon. Rejection sampling removes modulo bias.
4REVEAL
Only after the main spinner has physically landed are the seed, drand beacon and winning ticket revealed for independent recomputation.
This makes the beta result cryptographically strong and auditable. No software can honestly promise “impossible to abuse”; public deployment still needs external security review, hardened authentication, database transactions, infrastructure controls and regulatory/compliance work.
